India became independent. For this many fought for years together. Tilak, Lajapat Roy, Bose, Malaviya, Gandiji etc were in in the front. But behind them were countless number of freedom fighters who sacrificied every thing for the sake of mother land. Adiveppa Ambali of Arjunagi village of Bijapur Taluka in Karnataka, was one of them.

It was not one or two but the entire family consisting of more than twenty members participated in the Freedom Struggle. Even neighbours joined hands with Chanabasappa Ambali the brother of Adiveppa who was the main source of inspiration of many.
